Melbourne stabbing: Woman fighting for life and three injured as knifeman is arrested

A woman is fighting for their life and another three are injured after they were allegedly stabbed by a man in a random spate of attacks.

The man allegedly stabbed four people in three random attacks in Melbourne’s inner-city suburbs on Saturday over a period of three hours starting on Saturday night.

At about 10pm a 24-year-old Melbourne man was attacked outside a burger store on King Street and was taken to hospital with non life-threatening injuries to his leg. 

It’s alleged the man then stabbed a man and woman walking along Dandenong Road in St Kilda East shortly before 11pm. 

The 31-year-old St Kilda East woman was rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries. 

The Glen Waverley man, also 31, was also taken to hospital with a serious injury to his arm.
