The Australian man who has died in Bali after a shooting at a villa has been identified as 32-year-old Melbourne man Zivan Radmanovic.

According to Badung Police Chief Arif Batubara, two Australian nationals were involved in a shooting incident at a villa in Mengwi earlier today.

Batabura said Radmanovic was pronounced dead at the scene.

The other victim, identified as Melbourne man Sanar Ghanim, sustained non-life-threatening injuries, reportedly from being beaten rather than shot.

He has been taken to Sanglah Hospital in Denpasar for treatment.

Local police said they had not yet determined a motive for the shooting of the men

“We cannot yet determine the motive for this shooting and also who the perpetrator is until our investigation is complete,” Batubara said.

The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) confirmed the Australian man’s death and said they were providing consular assistance to his family.

“We send our deepest condolences to the family at this difficult time,” a DFAT spokesperson said.

“DFAT stands ready to provide consular assistance to another Australian injured in the same incident.”

The villa has been sealed off by police as they gather evidence at the scene and interview witnesses.
