A Melbourne Cup race-goer has shocked the internet after video of her licking an escalator handrail went viral on TikTok.
Boozed-up Jamie-lee McCabe, 30, from nearby Kensington, was filmed by her brother Luke Peffer as the pair rode up the escalator at Flemington racecourse on Tuesday.
Clutching a can of Smirnoff Double Black, her phone and a vape while dressed in a classy Cup frock and fascinator, Ms McCabe sticks her tongue out for the camera.
She then leans down and licks the handrail for around seven seconds, to the horror of racegoers around her, as a male voice says: ‘We’re going to party – party hardy.’

‘I think I was licking down the side of it,’ Ms McCabe told Daily Mail Australia on Thursday.
‘I did have black s*** in my mouth by the end of it so I’m thinking it was also possibly part of the handrail.
‘If I had it my way again, I would have steered completely clear of the handrail and just licked up the side.’

But Ms McCabe insisted she escaped unscathed from the intimate moment with the handrail – although she was still trying to shake off her hangover 48 hours later.
‘I’m still recovering,’ she admitted.
‘I have been to the Melbourne Cup before and other races too and my behaviour still remains the same.
‘I mean, I thought this was pretty placid…’
Truck-driver brother Luke, 23, posted the video with the caption: ‘Sister told me she was only gonna have a couple then this happened.’
He added to Daily Mail Australia on Thursday: ‘She did survive but I think the alcohol killed her more than the handrail.’
