Prince Archie is a shutterbug!
Meghan Markle revealed that her son is an avid photographer who even asked for a pricey camera as a Christmas gift, People reported.
The Duchess of Sussex shared Archie’s Christmas wish list during a Q&A following a special screening of Netflix’s short film “The After.”
The chat took place on Nov. 15 at a private home in Montecito, Calif., where Markle resides with Prince Harry and their two children: Archie, 4, and Princess Lilibet, 2.
The “Suits” alum, 42, explained that her son was inspired by Misan Harriman, a renowned photographer who has taken some of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s family snaps.
“The inspiration runs deep,” Markle shared.
“Our 4-year-old,” before correcting herself, “4-and-a-half-year-old son — he would say, ‘No, I’m not 4. I’m -and-a-half — Misan was showing him how to do photography the last time he was with us, and I bought Archie a camera, and he said, ‘But it’s not a Leica like Misan,’” she said with a laugh, as the handcrafted cameras run in the thousands.
“I said, ‘You are not getting a Leica! Not even for Christmas,’” Markle continued, before directing her attention to Harriman. “So thank you for the inspiration across the board.”
The request seems an interesting choice for the tyke as his father has a longstanding aversion to cameras and the paparazzi.
In a 2021 docuseries the redheaded royal revealed that he is still triggered by the sounds of camera clicks as his mother, the late Princess Diana, was hounded by photographers during the final years of her life.
“The clicking of cameras, and the flash of cameras makes my blood boil. It makes me angry. It takes me back to what happened to my mum, what I experienced as a kid,” he said.

One thing the lil’ royal has received as a Christmas gift is a waffle maker, courtesy of his late grand-grandmother.
During a 2021 appearance on “The Late Late Show,” Harry, 39, shared that Queen Elizabeth II had bought the piece of cookware for Archie.
“My grandmother asked us what Archie wanted for Christmas, and Meg said a waffle maker,” Harry told Corden. “She sent us a waffle maker for Archie. So breakfast now, Meg makes up a beautiful organic mix” and throws it in the waffle iron.
It was a big hit.
“He loves it,” Harry added. “Archie wakes up in the morning and literally just goes, ‘Waffle?’”
The royal foursome will not be flying across the pond to join Harry’s family for Christmas this year; however, Harry and Markle are planning on a special gift for King Charles.
Page Six exclusively reported that the couple’s “new strategy is reconciliation.”
A reconciliation attempt would come after a fraught year, with the release of Harry’s bombshell memoir, “Spare.”
The book had unflattering stories about Prince William, Kate Middleton, King Charles and Queen Camilla.
And the Dutch version of Omid Scobie’s recently released book “Endgame” named Charles and Middleton as one of the racist royals who allegedly questioned the color of then-unborn Archie’s skin.
