Megan Fox’s on-again-off-again romance with film producer Brian Austin Green goes back to 2004. The two met at a table read for the ABC sitcom “Hope & Faith,” when Green was a guest star. Fox told Allure, “After we were done shooting that day, Brian gave his number out to everyone. So I called him.” At the time of the pair’s initial meeting, Fox was just 17 years old, close to 13 years younger than Green. As Fox was a minor, Green later recalled on “Live with Kelly and Ryan,” “I had no intention of dating.”

“I had to convince him that I was slightly more responsible and well-spoken and had other things to bring to the table besides being 18,” Fox told Elle in 2009. She did just that, and the two embarked on a nearly two decades-long relationship.

But it took a bit longer for Green to come around. The producer and his former fiance Vanessa Marcil, with whom he shares his son Kassius, had just ended their relationship. “This isn’t… This can’t f***ing happen. This isn’t going to happen, no way,” Green said on an episode of Barstool’s KFC Radio. He added, “It’s funny, I kept pushing her away early on, because I was like, ‘…I don’t want a relationship,'” he said. “And then she was like, ‘Alright cool, I’m going to go date.'” Green eventually gave in to Fox, not wanting the “Jennifer’s Body” star to wind up with someone else.
