The Pitt Episode 4 “10 AM” grapples with many of the same life or death cases that have come to define the addictive MAX show, but one new patient stood out this week for the aura of class and calm they exuded. Sommelier Tasha Cordera (Eva Everett Irving) might have (rightfully) sassed the receptionist at Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Hospital for deadnaming her, but she was all glamour and grace when Dr. McKay (Fiona Dourif) and med student Victoria Javadi (Shabana Azeez) stitched her up. Tasha’s story is short, sweet, and profound in showing how a relatively small act — like Javadi proactively correcting the patient’s gender in her file — can make a massive impact on a person’s life.
Tasha’s storyline in The Pitt Episode 4 “10 AM” also serves as a great showcase for actress Eva Everett Irving. The Canadian actress has a fascinating claim to fame offscreen. Like The Pitt stars Fiona Dourif, Isa Briones, and Taylor Dearden, she comes from an artistic family. (Fiona Dourif is the daughter of Brad Dourif, Isa Briones is the daughter of musical theater stalwarts, and Taylor Dearden calls Bryan Cranston “Dad.“) Unlike those actresses, Irving’s father is none other than literary great John Irving.
