Two men have been rushed to hospital after they were found with gunshot wounds in suburbia, forcing a McDonald’s carpark into lockdown.
Police were called to Friendship Drive in Tarneit in Melbourne’s west shortly after midnight on Wednesday.
Officers launched a search but could not locate anyone.
They found an injured man on Tarneit Rd a short time later suffering a gunshot wound to his hand.
He was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

He was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries in a serious but stable condition.
The McDonald’s carpark was cordoned off as a crime scene as multiple police surrounded a Mercedes which appeared to be damaged.
No arrests have been made.
‘Police are yet to establish the exact circumstances as to what has occurred and the investigation is ongoing,’ a police statement read.
