Married At First Sight groom Billy Belcher has revealed what he really thinks of bride Sierah Swepstone’s reality show past.
Sierah first sprang to national attention on the 2021 season of The Bachelor, vying for the heart of Jimmy Nicholson.
Her elimination from the now defunct dating series went down in reality TV history as one of the best exits when she hilariously confessed that Jimmy wasn’t into ‘tall, horny bogans’ after he sent her home.
‘I did know she was on The Bachelor until the cast was leaked on your site,’ he told Daily Mail Australia on Thursday.
Billy added that he did have a conversation with his bride about her Bachelor stint, adding that he hoped his taste in women differed to Jimmy’s
‘Me and Sierah had a chat, she obviously told me about it,’ Billy said.

‘So it looks like I was in competition with, I think it was Jimmy, for a little bit.
‘Let’s hope i’m into tall horny bogans.’
Billy added that he refused to judge Sierah for her reality show past, while admitting that it wasn’t ideal.
‘I don’t think you can judge somebody on a previous experience. I’m not someone that does that,’ he said.
‘But I would’ve preferred it if she wasn’t on The Bachelor before because it brings less heat.’
Billy who comes from the UK, added that he hadn’t seen the Bachelor , so wasn;t in a position ot comment on Sierah’s on-air behaviour.
‘I haven’t watched the show so I cant judge her on that at all,’ he said.
‘It didn’t really matter too much. We’ll just have to see how it all unfolds as our journey goes on.’

Despite finding an obvious chemistry with Sierah on Wednesday nights episode, that saw the pair tie the knot, Billy admitted that he had been taken aback by the intensity of the situation.
‘You’re in a pressure cooker situation everything is fast-paced,’ he said.
‘All of a sudden you’re introducing somebody you’ve only just met to your mum, your dad, your brother, your sister, and then you’re going on a honeymoon.
‘It’s a whirlwind experience in your head and it’s hard to keep up with that.’
Billy admitted that there were points during filming that he found ‘scary’.

Sierah infamously made headlines on The Bachelor when she admitted that she’s ‘had chlamydia’ while dressed in a bizarre koala costume.
‘So I was gonna say that my spirit animal was a koala tonight, because I like sleeping and I’ve definitely had chlamydia,’ she explained at the time.
