Firefighters are currently battling a massive blaze at three industrial units in Marrickville.
The fire broke out at around 3.30am, triggering 50 firefighters and 15 fire trucks to race to the scene.
Crews are working to contain the flames and thick smoke both from the ground and the air.
Cook Road is closed between Addison Road and Victoria Road while the fire-fighting operation continues.
The cause of the fire is unknown, with investigators from NSW Police to examine the scene once the fire has been extinguished and the site has been declared safe.
There are some structural concerns around the property and firefighters are so far unable to access the inside of it.
Thick smoke from the fire is lingering in the air, and residents in nearby suburbs and on this street have been told to keep their windows and doors closed.

‘Initially, firefighters made entry into the building. They used their power cutting tools to get in through the roller shutter door at the front.
‘They withdrew and pulled out. We got our aerial crews with our hose lines to attack it from the outside.
‘They checked the structure next door and there was no fire penetration into that.
‘At this point in time, we don’t actually know the cause. No reports of any persons that were inside the building.
‘And we’ve now had the tenants come and they’ve rung all their staff and confirmed that. So which is good news and no injuries from any firefighters at this point in time
