A 52-year-old man is in hospital after he was Tasered multiple times by police during an alarming incident in the Sydney suburb of Tempe.

The man had been driving to Tempe, where his family lives, when he allegedly called police and told them he had shot two people.
He then allegedly started making threats against officers, which resulted in police putting the neighbourhood into lockdown.
Police later realised the threat was a hoax. The man was taken to St George Hospital in a stable condition.
