A man has been found dead beside a church in the Geelong CBD.
Police discovered the body at about 4.30am on Malone St, near Western Beach Rd in Geelong, about 75km southwest of Melbourne, on Friday.

As of 7am,Malone Street remains closed as detectives actively investigate the scene.
Victoria Police spokeswoman Caitlin Knight said the man’s death was being treated as suspicious with the circumstances remaining unclear.
Police have cordoned-off sections of grass adjacent to St. Peter and Paul’s Church, located at the intersection of Mercer and Malone streets.
