A man who terrorized a Manhattan McDonald’s with an ax last year was mown down by an SUV on 5th Avenue over the weekend after slamming the motorist for driving ‘like s***’.
The terrifying hit and run was caught on shocking CCTV footage, which shows the cyclist, identified as notorious McDonald’s ‘Ax Man’ Michael Palacios, riding along the bike lane with his dog Simba in tow.
Palacios previously made headlines last September after he was filmed menacing customers in a New York McDonald’s with an ax after witnesses claimed he was jilted by a young woman.

The cyclist claims he told the motorist he ‘drives like s***’, leading the SUV to purposely speed forwards and hit him before fleeing the scene
Palacios’ drunken rampage last September kicked off after he was allegedly rejected by a woman while out on an early hours fast food jaunt.
The incident erupted at around 2am on Manhattan’s Lower East Side, as stunned customers attempted to flee while Palacios waved an axe and swore at onlookers.
A delivery man who witnessed the fight revealed that the tirade began after Palacios, who reportedly had been drinking, was spurned by the unidentified woman after asking for her number.
‘So basically he got into an argument with a girl, and then the girl rejected him,’ Ruben G, an Uber Eats delivery man who witnessed the fight, told The New York Post Sunday.
‘She didn’t want to talk to him,’ Ruben went on to reveal – adding that the woman’s disinterest did little to dissuade the man.
‘He kept going at her,’ the delivery man said. ‘That’s when the guys she was with stepped in.’
Palacios was arrested for terrifyingly brandished the axe during the frenzy, and the Bronx resident was arraigned on fourth-degree criminal-mischief and possession-of-weapons charges, but was later released without bail.

Palacios even responded to the incident on Instagram, where he said: ‘After the 5-minute police chase through the lower East side the NYPD told me “That was a fun chase.”
‘Traffic was weak and I couldn’t get out of the neighborhood I fell of my bike making a hair pin turn from the street to the sidewalk, landing on my shoulder and dislocating it.
‘They took me to the hospital and than jail. And now I’m out. Some of you want me to go to jail? Already did! Haha. So Have a great day,’ he gloated.
After being released without bail following his drunken fast food frenzy, Palacios was busted again a month later for stealing a $3,500 bike and spraying graffiti in Brooklyn.

Palacios, who frequently gloats about his axe-wielding rampage on his social media accounts, shared his recent hit and run scare with his seven thousand Instagram followers.
In sharing the footage, he slammed the driver as he claimed he and his dog Simba ‘don’t deserve this’.
‘What happened? I told a bad driver he drives like s***,’ he said.
‘I proceeded and he rammed me from behind. And yes, he knew Simba was on the bike.
‘The great thing about cargo bikes is they receive 90% of the impact. I don’t attach Simba to the bike so he’s free to go in a safe direction.’
After already plowing into Palacios and leaving him sprawled on the road, the SUV unbelievably starts up again, mowing over the bike before shocked onlookers watch them flee the scene.

Social media users were quick to support Palacios after footage of the crash was shared online.
‘Jesus Christ, so glad you and Simba are okay – that really sucks,’ said one.
Another user commented: ‘The way he went after you after you got up is crazy. Glad you and Simba tucked out of the way.’
‘Looks like attempted murder to me,’ added a fellow cyclist.
Following the crash, Palacios set up a GoFundMe account to fix his broken cargo bike, which features prominently on his Instagram page.
‘Simba and I were riding down 5th Ave and a bad driver rammed us from behind. Almost running Simba over and then fleeing the scene,’ he said in the fundraiser post.
Palacios’ fundraiser has since raised over $1,200 in just three days.
The NYPD confirmed to Dailymail.com that no police report was made following the incident.
