A man is wanted by police after allegedly urinating on produce at a Woolworths supermarket in Sydney’s CBD.

Police are trying to identify the man after receiving a report he had allegedly tried to damage the food at the George Street store about 11.40pm yesterday.

The alleged act caused more than $300 in damage and took workers several hours to decontaminate the area.

As investigations begin, police have released images of a man wanted for questioning.

The man is described as being Caucasian in appearance, aged about 20 to 30 years and of medium build.

He was wearing a backwards navy blue cap, black jacket, black pants, dark blue shoes and a black satchel bag.

Anyone with information is urged to call Sydney City Police Area Command or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
