Police were called to Oberon just after 8am yesterday, where they found the body of a man with a gunshot wound.

The man is yet to be formally identified but is believed to be aged in his 30s.

A 57-year-old man was arrested at the house and a firearm was seized. He was later charged with murder and refused bail.

He will appear in court today.

Initial inquiries suggested the two men were known to each other, police said.
