Shane Naylor was found with stab wounds to his abdomen and head on Valeria Street in Toongabbie about 6.30pm on Janurary 7, 2022.
Police officers gave him first aid, but the 45-year-old died at the scene.
Police said after extensive inquiries, with assistance from the Queensland Police Service, a 57-year-old man was arrested in Queensland, just after 10.30am yesterday.

He was taken to Brisbane Magistrates Court on an arrest warrant, where NSW Police detectives were granted his extradition to NSW.
The man was escorted to Tweed Heads Police Station by investigators today.
