Man shot outside $3M home of ballet dancer, banker in trendy NYC neighborhood

Gunshots rang out next door to a luxe, nearly $3 million Harlem house where a ballet dancer and her banker hubby live.

The Sunday shooting happened at 1:40 p.m. on West 118th Street in South Harlem — a neighborhood that’s been called SoHa by realtors suggesting its the next big thing and where many refurbished home prices have skyrocketed into the millions.

“I definitely worry about the safety of my family,” the banker said, asking to remain anonymous out of concern for his family’s safety.

A doorbell video camera captured the moment a scooter-riding gunman squeezed off four rounds, hitting the victim in the buttocks and grazing him on the top of his head around, police said.

The video shows the shooter zoom in, stop in front of an apartment building next door to the home and pull out a gun.

The victim runs but is struck by a bullet and falls to the ground on his stomach in front of the couple’s home, the video shows.

The gunman picks the scooter up and speeds away heading east.

The 30-year-old victim, whose name wasn’t released, was known to hang out on the stoop of the building, where men frequently loiter and play cards, neighbors said.

The victim, who doesn’t live in the building, was taken to Harlem Hospital for treatment and survived, cops said.

Cops recovered four .9mm shell casings at the scene.

The victim was uncooperative, according to police sources.

A neighborhood resident, who asked to remain anonymous out of fear for his safety, said he had called cops about the victim several times after seeing him dealing drugs while the men played cards.

“There’s always people playing cards out front and when people loiter on the block someone will go meet them and this individual will go inside and pick up drugs that they then exchange,” the resident said.

Police said there were no arrests as of Friday.

The shooting follows a recent uptick in violence in the neighborhood.

A man was killed when he was shot in the back in a drive-by shooting in front of a senior center about two blocks away on West 118th Street and Frederick Douglas Boulevard on July 2.

Felony assaults are up from 162 to 202, a 25% surge, NYPD data show.
