Man plunges to his death from penthouse of Midtown hotel

A man jumped to his death from the penthouse of a Midtown Manhattan hotel Friday, according to police and law enforcement sources.

The 47-year-old man leapt from the 25th floor of the Gotham Hotel in the Diamond District just before 6:30 p.m., cops and the sources said.

He landed on the second floor in the back of the building, the NYPD said.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene in what police are investigating as a suicide.

The unidentified man is the latest in a string of jumpers who plunged from the top floor of the Gotham Hotel, where nightly rates for the penthouse run for more than $1,000.

Former Playboy Playmate Stephanie Adams jumped with her 7-year-old son from the top suite in 2018 amid a nasty custody battle with her chiropractic ex.

The body of a 34-year-old man was found on the landing in 2021 — two days after jumping from the penthouse.

The bodies of all three were found on the same second-floor landing in the hotel’s rear courtyard.
