A man was stabbed to death in Melbourne’s inner south-east on Easter Sunday.

The man, aged in his 20s, was stabbed during an altercation on Chapel Street at Prahran at 1.30am.

The man was rushed to hospital by paramedics before he died from his injuries.

No arrests have been made and Victoria Police has launched an investigation.

Police discovered a gun at the scene and promptly put it into a brown paper bag as evidence.

It remains unclear if the firearm is connected to the stabbing.
