A man is fighting for life after being shot in the chest by police on a suburban street in Sydney’s southwest.
The man was shot by officers in Williams Street, Yagoona, on Sunday morning.
He has been taken to hospital in a critical condition.
The incident comes just days after a man was shot dead in Auburn police station after lunging at officers with a knife.

A man has been rushed to hospital in a critical condition with wounds to his chest
The Indian national had moments earlier stabbed a cleaner at nearby Auburn train station about 12am on Tuesday.
The officers worked to save the 32-year-old man’s life but he was later declared dead at the scene by paramedics.
Detectives from the counter terrorism squad are investigating the stabbing.
