A man has suffered head injuries after he reportedly fell while jumping into the ocean pool from a cliff at a beach in Sydney’s eastern suburbs.

The accident happened at Bronte Beach, in the eastern suburbs, which was packed for Christmas Day.

NSW Police said the man slipped and fell onto the concrete.

NSW Police, NSW Fire and Rescue and NSW Ambulance rushed to the beach, where thousands of people have been celebrating Christmas.

The injured man was treated by paramedics before a specialist medical team was flown in by helicopter, which landed in Calga Reserve.

The beach-goer was then rushed by ambulance to St Vincent’s Hospital.
