Brendyn Wade Clark has been on trial in Brisbane Supreme Court for a daylight shooting in the southern Queensland suburb of Sunnybank in June 2019.
The court heard Clark shot one victim, Adrian Hing, five times, including in the abdomen. Hing also lost a finger.
Another victim, Clarice Warren, was shot in the leg and the foot.
The attempted murder charge was in relation to Hing.
The court heard the dispute was sparked over a “love quadrangle” in a friendship group that are alleged to have been drug users.
Warren said she had had an “encounter” with Clark before she entered a romantic relationship with Hing.
The court was shown text messages referencing a fourth woman who was upset about Warren and Hing’s relationship.
Clark told Warren in the messages, “[the woman] loved [Hing] you have f—– everyone and it’s time to take it”.
Another message sent by Clark about Warren read, “$500 for every bullet she gets hit with is the word”.
The court heard the dispute led to Hing’s pushbike being stolen from his home.

It was cut in half and Hing received text messages that the bike was at the bus stop in front of Clark’s home.
Hing and Warren set out to retrieve the bike and were fired upon by Clark with a .22-calibre rifle.
Hing told the court he was shot in the stomach first and went into “survival mode”.
“I knew I’d been shot, I wasn’t sure on where or how many times,” he said.
“Because I had been shot in the shoulder, my bones were broken, so my arms didn’t work so I just ran straight at him.
“I tried to hang on to him but my finger had been shot off and he pushed me off.
Clark had not disputed that he shot at Hing, but maintained he did not intend to kill him.
A jury convicted Clark of attempted murder.
He remains in custody and will be sentenced by Justice Lincoln Crowley in June.
