The body of 49-year-old Jamie Colgan was found with multiple stab wounds inside a unit on Middleton Road in Lumeah, on March 14, 2022.

Colgan’s body was found rolled up inside a carpet inside the unit.

At the time, police began an investigation into the death.

On Thursday this week, NSW detectives travelled to Rockhampton in Queensland to arrest a 30-year-old man.

He appeared in Rockhampton Magistrates Court yesterday, where his extradition was approved.

He was taken to Sydney under police escort, and charged with murder at Mascot police station.

The man was denied bail to front Downing Centre Local Court today.
