A man has died in hospital after he was allegedly attacked by three men in Sydney’s west yesterday lunchtime.

Emergency services were called to reports of an assault on Bangor Street, Guildford about 1.45pm yesterday.

Police were then called to Westmead Hospital about 2.15pm, where a man had arrived with stab wounds to his abdomen.

The man, who is believed to be aged 37, underwent surgery but died at 5:36pm.

He is yet to be formally identified.

Police have been told the man was assaulted in Guildford by three men before he was driven to Westmead Hospital by an associate.

As inquiries continue, police are urging anyone who may have information, dashcam footage from the area, or who may have witnessed the incident to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
