A man has died after he was fatally shot by police in inner Sydney overnight.
At about 11.50pm, emergency services were called to a home in Franklyn Street, Glebe, over concerns for a man's welfare.
They were there allegedly confronted by a 43-year-old man with a knife.

One officer fired a taser, and another their gun.

The man was treated by paramedics but died at the scene.
An investigation is now underway into the circumstances surrounding his death.
A report will be prepared for the coroner.
