Rafferty Rolfe, 25, is due to face Maroochydore Magistrates Court today, police told 9news.com.au.
The deadly collision occurred at Federal on the Bruce Highway early last Friday.
Police claimed a white Isuzu, allegedly stolen, had been trying to ram another car as they both travelled north.
The two cars swerved into the southbound lane, where they crashed into another car.
Police said Rolfe, who suffered a head injury in the collision, had been found in the vicinity of the Isuzu.
