A 30-year-old man has been charged with the murder of a toddler in Adelaide.

Ronan Davies, 17 months, died last month after being rushed to hospital with what was described as severe head and internal injuries.

The parents of 17-month-old Ronan Davies have paid tribute to their little boy, as the investigation into the toddler's murder continues.Ronan's mum and dad have described the toddler as "playful and perfect in every way".

The man was refused bail and will appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court today.
