A man has been charged with murder following the discovery of a woman’s body on the state’s Mid-North Coast.
The body of a 70-year-old woman was found in a unit on Memorial Avenue in South West Rocks, 30km north of Kempsey, at 8am yesterday.
Police arrested a 59-year-old man at the scene who they say is known to the woman.
Following investigations, the man has been charged with murder.
He has been refused bail and will appear in Port Macquarie Bail Court today.
