A 23-year-old man has been charged with murder after a 28-year-old man was found dead at a home in Melbourne’s north in the early hours of this morning.
Police went to the home on Mitchell Street in Glenroy about 4.40am to conduct a welfare check and found the body of the 28-year-old.
Detectives spent the morning combing the property.
NSW Police arrested the 23-year-old in Albury this afternoon – about 307km from the house where the body was found – and he was charged with murder.
He will face Albury Local Court on May 20, where Victorian detectives will apply for his extradition.
