Police allege the incident involved a four-year-old at a childcare centre in Tingalpa on July 10.
A 21-year-old man has been charged with one count of indecent treatment of a child.
The man was granted conditional bail and is expected to appear in Brisbane Magistrates Court on August 4.
Investigations by the Bayside Child Protection Investigation Unit remain ongoing.
