The offences were allegedly committed at 23 places of worship between July and December this year.

It will be alleged the man targeted cash donations from the community congregations.

He was arrested just after midday on December 28, after allegedly evading a fare at a public transport station in Goodna.

A 44-year-old man from Moggill has been charged with 84 offences including 24 counts of entering a premise and committing an indictable offence, eight counts of entering a dwelling, one count of wilful damage, four counts of unlawful use of a motor vehicle and 28 counts of fraud.

He was denied bail and he is expected to appear via video-link before Brisbane Magistrates Court today.

Investigations into the incidents remain ongoing.
