A man has been charged with the murder of a toddler in Tamworth.
Emergency services were called to a home in Hillvue Road, South Tamworth, about 3.45pm on Saturday 18 January 2025, after a two-year-old child was found unconscious.
NSW Ambulance paramedics treated the child at the scene before taking him to Tamworth Base Hospital where he later died.
Detectives arrested a 23-year-old man at a home in Gunnedah about 6.45pm on Friday.
‘He was taken to Tamworth Police Station where he was charged with murder (domestic violence),’ NSW Police said.
The man was refused bail overnight before appearing in Parramatta Bail Court on Saturday.
He was remanded in custody and will next appear in Tamworth Local Court on 16 April 2025.
