A man has been charged over a crash that killed a young woman in Melbourne.
Police said the car was travelling along Stintons Road at Park Orchards when it left the road and hit a tree after 2.30pm yesterday.
A 21-year-old woman from Doncaster was in the front passenger seat at the time and died at the scene.
The driver of the car, a 22-year-old man from Doncaster, was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
Police have since charged him with culpable driving causing death, dangerous driving causing death, negligently cause serious injury, recklessly cause injury and three counts of reckless conduct endangering life.

Two men from Doncaster were also injured in the crash and taken to hospital.
One of the passengers, a 20-year-old man, had life-threatening injuries.
Meanwhile, the other passenger was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
The 22-year-old driver will appear in Melbourne Magistrates’ Court today.
