The women were treated at Lidcombe before being taken to hospital in a stable condition.

A 20-year-old man was arrested at Parramatta Police Station about 10.30pm yesterday.

During a search of the man, police allegedly found and seized a can of pepper spray and clothing items.

The man was charged with multiple offences including two counts of assault causing bodily harm.

He was refused bail and will appear in court today.
