A man has been charged after another man was killed in a ute and quad bike crash in the New South Wales Central West region.

The quad bike and ute allegedly collided on Gulargambone Road, Bourbah, about 58km southwest of Coonamble about 3.45pm yesterday.

NSW Police allege a man drove the ute to a nearby property to get help.

“Police arrived at the scene and located the quad bike and body of a man on the road,” NSW Police said in a statement.

“He is yet to be formally identified but is believed to be aged 50.”

The 63-year-old ute driver was uninjured but was taken to Coonamble Hospital for mandatory testing.

”When he was released from hospital the man was arrested and taken to Coonamble Police Station before being transported to Dubbo Police Station.”

He was charged with dangerous driving occasioning death – drive manner dangerous and negligent driving occasioning death.

His licence was suspended, he was refused bail and he is expected to appear before Dubbo Local Court today.
