A man will front court after allegedly graffiting Nazi symbols and trying to assault a police officer in Sydney’s west.
The man allegedly drew swastikas on footpaths, fences and car spaces near a unit block on Derby Street in Penrith before police were called to the scene at 3pm yesterday.
The 51-year-old was arrested from inside the unit block and was taken to Penrith Police Station.
Police allege the man tried to assault an officer multiple times at the station before he was restrained.
He was charged with knowingly displaying a Nazi symbol assaulting a police officer.
He was refused bail and will appear in Parramatta Local Court today.
