A giant bull has been spotted riding “shotgun” in the US, prompting traffic concerns and a hilarious photo.

The Watsui bull named Howdy Doody caused a “vision obstruction” for Norfolk drivers, according to Nebraska police.

Officers were called after a motorist complained about a cow being driven on the highway, however, they were unaware of the animal’s size until they arrived.

“They thought that it was going to be a calf, something small or something that would actually fit inside the vehicle,” Police Captain Chad Reiman told NCN.

Watsui bulls can grow up to 450 to 725 kilograms, according to The Cattle Site.

The driver of the vehicle was pulled over and ordered to take Howdy Doody “back home” and out of the city, NCN reported.

Australia’s most recently endangered animals

The bull frequently accompanies the driver of the car to parades in northeast Nebraska, police said.

Howdy Doody was named a “fan favourite” parade attendee in 2019 by the Antelope County News.

Norfolk is 181km northwest of Omaha.
