A 20-year-old man has been bashed in Perth‘s southern suburbs after asking a group of teens riding dirt bikes to stop.

Bailey Foley had heard one too many dirt bikes and scooters speeding through his street and Friday night was the final straw.

“I am over it and anyone in the Thornlie area would be over it too its a constant occurence,” Foley told 9News.

The 20-year-old was walking along Redheart Drive in Thornlie around 6.30pm when he saw the same riders.

“I basically went up to them and had a word to them and I kept going at them and asking them why, why do they feel like they have to do it?”

The group answered the question with violence. One boy aged as young as 14, among the group who bashed their victim for five minutes.

“About 10-12 of them just started pummeling me and stomping on me,” Foley claims.

The man says: “I reckon if the kids had a bit more power to them and they kicked in the right spot, I’d definitely be dead, like they were hitting my temple and stomping on my side.” (9News)

“I just wouldn’t want that to happen to anyone else because its not the best feeling.”

They want police to stop the reckless riders before someone else gets hurt.

Detectives believe at least one of the scooters is stolen and as of Saturday night, the thugs remain on the run.
