A man will face court after he was charged over a suspicious fire in Sydney’s south-west last year.

A factory fire erupted at about 12.30am on Roberts Road in Greenacre on Sunday, February 5, 2023.

At about 6.55am yesterday, police executed two search warrants in West Pennant Hills and Croydon.

At the West Pennant Hills address, detectives arrested a 62-year-old man who was taken to The Hills Police Station and charged.

The man was conditionally bailed to appear in court on April 9.

Police will allege the man deliberately lit the fire for the purpose of making an insurance claim and receiving financial compensation.
