A man will face court today after an alleged machete attack at a house party in western Sydney overnight.
Emergency services were called to a house in Plumpton about 11.15pm after reports a man had been slashed across the face.
A 25-year-old man was treated at the scene for facial injuries before he was taken to hospital in a serious but stable condition.
Police arrested a 29-year-old man a short time later in Hebersham.

He was charged with one count of wound person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
He was refused bail and will appear in court today.
Police said the men were not known to each other.
