A suspect covered in blood has been arrested on the side of the road in Melbourne after another man was stabbed to death at a resort and day spa nearby.
Police said the two men knew each other but it wasn’t clear what sparked their fight on Sunday afternoon.
Moments earlier witnesses say the arrested man had crashed a car in busy traffic and tried to flee on foot along Point Cook Road in Point Cook in the city’s south west.
Police allege a 35-year-old man was fatally stabbed at the Seasons 5 Resort.

Paramedics were called just after 3pm but he couldn’t be saved.
Police said a 28-year-old Diggers Rest man was assisting police after being arrested.
