A man was allegedly attacked in Sydney’s west after leaving a pub on Friday Night.

The 34-year-old man was allegedly intoxicated when he was punched and thrown to his knees on Station Road in Auburn.

Police say the alleged attacker was driving his Holden Commodore down Station road when the 34-year-old kicked the car, causing the tussle between the two men.

The incident was captured on CCTV footage, where the 34-year-old can be seen grabbing a plastic crate to defend himself with before the alleged attacker reaches him.

The driver of the Commodore allegedly jumped out of his car, attacked the man, and then drove off.

The 34-year-old was unresponsive at times from intoxication, not injuries, Police said.
