A NSW man charged with incest and child sexual assault offences has been extradited to the Australian Capital Territory to face court.

ACT Police’s Sexual Assault and Child Abuse Team began an investigation after they received a report a 34-year-old man had allegedly sexually assaulted a child in his care between 2018 and 2020.

More allegations then were made by another child known to him.

Police are alleging the man had sexually assaulted the second child on several occasions between September and November 2024.

The 34-year-old was arrested in Coffs Harbour on December 19 and extradited to the ACT yesterday.

He was charged with two counts of incest, six counts of sexual intercourse with a child under 16 years, and committing an act of indecency on a person under 16 years.

The man is set to face ACT Magistrates Court today.
