A male childcare worker employed by the same company as accused paedophile Joshua Brown has been hit with a series of child sex abuse charges.

The Affinity Education employee has been charged with nine counts of intentionally sexually touching a child under 10 years of age and one count of rape.

It remains unclear if all the charges relate to one or multiple victims.

Further details cannot be revealed for legal reasons.

The man has pleaded not guilty to the charges and remains out on bail.

He is due to face court on July 23 for a hearing.

It comes just days after Melbourne childcare worker Joshua Dale Brown was charged with more than 70 child abuse offences against eight alleged victims.

The 26-year-old worked at 20 childcare centres around Melbourne between 2017 and 2025, some owned by Affinity Education.

The offences he is accused of include sexual penetration of a child under 12, attempted sexual penetration of a child under 12, and sexual assault of a child under 16.

Brown is also charged with sexual activity in presence of a child under 16, produce child abuse material for use through a carriage service, and use carriage service to transmit child abuse material.

He was not known to police prior to their investigation and held a Working With Childrens Check which has since been revoked. He was arrested when police raided his Point Cook home in May.

Brown’s alleged victims are aged between five months and two-years-old, and were in the care of Creative Garden Early Learning Centre Point Cook between April 2022 and January 2023.

As a precaution, authorities have urged parents of 1,200 children to have their kids tested for infectious diseases.

Brown was remanded in custody to appear at Melbourne Magistrates Court on September 15.
