Madonna seems to be playing along with the plastic surgery talks from fans.
The “Like A Virgin” singer has received backlash from fans who claimed she made several changes to her face. After Madonna had expressed her disappointment about the judgment she received, it appears she is now taking the criticism with a light heart.
Madonna Jokes About Having Plastic Surgery With New Pic
The “Material Girl” hitmaker appeared to be making jest at her fans who criticized her facial appearance with her recent post. She shared an image of herself on Twitter rocking a baggy black shirt paired with ripped jeans and a cap with the words “Spiritually Hungry.”

Her face was makeup free, and her hair beneath the hat was in braids. The “Like A Prayer” singer posed with her arms crossed as she sat back on a chair. In the post’s caption, Madonna jokingly wrote, “Look how cute i am now that swelling from surgery has gone down. Lol.”
Since making the post, it has gained attention from fans, with thousands of people commenting about the image. Some of her followers took to praising her look and encouraging her. A fan commented, “I love your sense of humor!” while another wrote, “Mother. Thanks for always living life on your own terms.“
Another fan added, “You look gorgeous, but then you always have.” One other fan quoted a line from Madonna’s song, “Human Nature,” writing, “Express yourself don’t repress yourself.”
This post comes about a week after the “Vogue” singer clapped back at fans who criticized her looks at the 2022 Grammy Awards. The Blast detailed Madonna’s lengthy message where she addressed people who focused on her looks as she presented the award for the Best Duo/Group Collaboration.
The statement came alongside a video that captured her having fun at the award ceremony. Madonna began her message writing, “I wanted to give the last award, which was Album of the year, but I thought it was more important that I present the first trans-woman performing at the Grammys- a History making moment!! And on top of that she won a Grammy!!”

The “La Isla Bonita” songstress further noted that the press photographers captured her in a way that distorted her face. And instead of people focusing on her speech, they chose to focus on her looks. Expressing her disappointment, Madonna wrote,
“Once again I am caught in the glare of ageism and misogyny That permeates the world we live in. A world that refuses to celebrate women past the age of 45 And feels the need to punish her If she continues to be strong-willed, hard-working and adventurous.”
In the concluding parts of her message, the pop icon emphasized that she would be strong amidst the hurtful comments. In her words, “I am happy to do the trailblazing so that all the women behind me can have an easier time in the years to come. In the words of Beyonce, “You-won’t break my soul,” I look forward to many more years of subversive behavior-pushing boundaries.”
The “Material Girl” Singer Is Unapologetic About Her Creative Choices
Regardless of the hateful comments the seven-time Grammy winner has received, she proudly stated that she is not sorry about her creative choices.
The Queen Of Pop shared a cryptic message, “Most Definitely Not Sorry,” alongside pictures of her rocking a two-piece ripped denim. She accessorized her denim outfit with her usual style of layering several pieces of necklaces. Her hair, colored ginger with black roots, was parted in the middle and styled into two braided pigtails on her shoulders.
In the pictures, the pop icon stared fiercely at the camera and then broke out her messages into different parts alongside the photos. The first photo of her staring brazenly at the camera with her legs apart was captioned, “Most” written in red. The following post was an image of Madonna with her tongue sticking out, and it was captioned “Definitely.”
The third image captioned, “Not,” was zoomed in to show the hitmaker’s lower body, and the final photo captioned, “Sorry,” captured her chunky boots, which she paired with her outfit.
When joined together, the words hinted that the singer would continue to live her life on her own terms.
