In a post on Facebook, NSW Police said on Sunday morning, the 28-year-old Eastern Suburbs man had been travelling home in his McLaren sports car.

Police detected him travelling at 169km/hr in a 100km/hr zone on the Putty Road at Mellong, in the Hawkesbury.

Police removed the McLaren’s licence plates and cancelled its registration for three months.
