Footage showed the baby sharks slinking past the legs of swimmers.

“So lucky, I snorkelled for over two hours today, I still can’t believe it,” local Laurel Collofello said.

Experts say these sharks are very young and are currently using the beaches as refuge.

“If we keep them safe, and they’re feeling safe in this area, we could see them year to year in this habitat,” aquarist Conor Getchell said.

The young sharks are not considered dangerous to humans, swimmers are still urged to keep their distance.
