A lucky Melburnian could be unaware they are a multi-millionaire with a single entry ticket holder yet to claim their $20 million lottery prize.
The winning division one entry from Thursday night’s Powerball draw 1436 was purchased from a newsagent in Sunbury in Melbourne’s north-west.

“The multi-million-dollar winning entry was not registered to a player card or online account, which means officials from The Lott have no way of contacting the winner,” the Lott said in a statement.

“Instead, they’re eagerly waiting for the ticketholder to check their ticket and make contact to start the prize claim process.”

May Crotty, from the Nextra newsagency where the ticket was sold, said the store’s manager discovered they had sold the winning ticket at 4am today.

“This is our 32nd division one winning entry sold since Nextra Sunbury first opened and the excitement never ends,” Crotty said.

“We sold a division two winning entry only a few weeks ago, so it feels as this division one win was right around the corner.”
