One lucky Tasmanian man has become an overnight millionaire after he won a mega $70million prize in Tuesday night’s Oz Lotto.
The winning numbers for draw 1633 were 44, 34, 45, 1, 46, 25, and 21.
The supplementary numbers were 9, 14, and 16.
The man claimed he checked his ticket online more than 15 times after the numbers were drawn but worried he was dreaming until The Lott officials called on Wednesday morning.
‘Oh wow. I don’t have to come to work anymore, it’s -1C here at the moment where I am working,’ he told them over the phone.
‘I might just go and hand my resignation in right now.
‘I have hardly slept all night. I was wondering if I was dreaming, and I was going to wake up and someone was going to say, it was all just a dream.’
The man had bought the sole Division 1 winning ticket online.

He said he planned on spending part of the $70million prize on a home for him and his partner after a ‘rough’ few years.
More of the money would go to helping his family out, he said.
‘Oh, this is brilliant, absolutely brilliant … I’ve had a (rough) couple of years.
‘I am just getting back on my feet and I still have a mortgage when everyone else (my age) is about to retire.
‘I have been saying I will have to work until I am 70 but not now’
The next major lottery prize will be drawn on Thursday when the Division 1 Powerball jackpot goes up for grabs – worth $50million.
One in five Australian adults were expected to enter Tuesday night’s draw, the biggest since the last $70m jackpot in April.

The most frequently drawn winning Oz Lotto numbers are 47, 21, 28 and 33 while the least frequent include 34, 26, 45 and 43.
More than three-quarters of the Oz Lotto division one winning entries in 2024 were QuickPick entries – where the lottery terminal randomly selects the numbers.
Five of the 17 Oz Lotto division one winning entries in 2024 were System entries – which allows you to play more numbers in a single game.
The next Oz Lotto draw is on June 10 with a $3m jackpot up for grabs.
Oz Lotto has now recorded four division one prizes so far in 2025 with a combined value of $255million.
