Lindsay Lohan's Dad Wasn't A Fan Of Her Relationship With Aaron Carter

Lindsay Lohan hasn’t always had a great relationship with her dad, Michael Lohan. In fact, Radar learned in 2011 that the actor had actually stopped speaking to her father altogether. They remained estranged for years and Lindsay wasn’t even invited to his 2014 wedding to Kate Major. However, Michael told TMZ in 2023 that they had reconciled and were on good terms for several years. Indeed, when Lindsay announced she had gotten engaged to Bader Shammas in 2021, Michael told Page Six he totally approved and was ready to walk her down the aisle. “Lindsay got her life back when she met him, she’s been living a really happy and healthy life,” he gushed. “I’ve never seen Lindsay so in love.”

The same couldn’t be said about Lindsay’s past flames, including Aaron Carter. Michael used the opportunity with Page Six to throw massive shade at her first celebrity boyfriend, saying he couldn’t be happier about the fact that his daughter had chosen to settle down with someone who doesn’t belong to the “Aaron Carters of the world.” Not mincing words, Michael also openly disapproved of Lindsay’s ex-fiancé, Egor Tarabasov, who drunkenly assaulted her on a beach in Greece in 2016. “[He] isn’t the best guy,” Michael said. Interestingly, Lindsay mourned Carter’s death, telling ET in 2022 that there was “just [a] lot of love there.”
