Authorities are responding to a light plane crash in Western Australia’s Mid-West region. 

Wreckage of the plane was discovered by members of the public about 11.15am (AWST time – 2.15pm AEDT) in the vicinity of Ogilvie Road West in Ogilvie.

Police believe the pilot was the sole occupant of the plane.

Ogilvie is located about 47km north of Northampton.

Police said the level of injuries were unknown.

“Emergency services are on scene working to ascertain further details,” police said.
